MONTEREY, Calif., July 20, 2020 – WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca will host a blood drive later this week to strengthen the County’s diminished supply. The on-track Natividad Medical Center at the raceway will be open from 12 PM to 4 PM on Saturday the 25th for appointments and a few walk-ins if time is available.
The normal $5 day use entry fee for the Laguna Seca Recreation Area will be waived for donors, and in exchange for their donation every participant will receive a Friday Hyundai Monterey Sports Car Championship general admission/paddock ticket. Also offered in conjunction with a blood donation is a free COVID-19 FDA approved antibody test, if desired.
To ensure the safety of everyone participating, all staff and donors are required to wear a face covering at blood drives or donation centers. While donating blood is a valiant and strongly encouraged act of selflessness, if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 (such as dry cough, extreme fatigue, fever or shortness of breath), please refrain from participating at this time.
